Description

Okay so since we both had the Lolita collab idea we decided to team up.

EDIT - THERE WILL NO LONGER BE THREE PARTS TO THIS EVENT DUE TO THE MASS AMOUNT OF COLLABS THAT'S BEEN POPPING UP.  IN ADDITION THE DEADLINE IS EXTERMINATED. SO YOU CAN TAKE ALL THE TIME YOU'D LIKE ON THIS COLLAB.

There will be three parts to this event.
Vocaloids and Utaus - Part one
Self Models - Part two
Original characters - Part three

The dead line to this collab is April 25, 2015, which is when part two will commence after.

First come first served. You can put your chosen character in different styles of Lolita if you wish.
You may do another when you finish, but please don't try to take all the characters.
Sharing is caring.

Please. Please. Do not use parts that are from models that are uneditable or unredistributable. We don't want any drama to come along with this! Let's keep this nice and fair, if not you'll be disqualified from the collab. Sorry.

Here are some explanations and examples to different types of Lolita to help you get an idea.

❤ What is Lolita?
Lolita is a street fashion and a subculture in Japan, known for its intricate and delicate doll-like look. The clothing is inspired mainly by the Rococo and Victorian eras, but also take influences from current fashion trends.

What is the most common Lolita mistake?
Ita Lolita is the most common in the Lolita world. Known for bad quality fabrics, excessive usage of lace, cat ears, arm and leg warmers, and bad colour combinations. Basically, this outfit is painful to look at.

Examples of Ita Lolita that should be avoided:

What are some of the styles in Lolita fashion?
    ★ Gothic Lolita
Gothic Lolita is the by far most well-known Lolita style, and used to be the term that would refer to Lolitas of all the styles. However, with Lolita fashion becoming increasingly popular in the west, this mislabel is now somewhat rarer. Here are two types of Gothic Lolitas: the traditional one that has come to symbolize the style as whole, and the one with visible gothic influences.
The traditional Gothic Lolita wears plain black clothing with white lace; very much looking like a cute darker version of Ama Lolita.
The secondary type is less 'cute', and has more influences from western goth fashion. Motifs such as crosses, bats, coffins are common. The clothing also breaks out from purely black, revealing colors such as wine, royal blue, deep plum, white, silver and gold (the latter two are usually used to accent prementioned colors).
Wise color choices: B
lack and white, wine, emerald green, royal blue, deep plum, silver and gold.

    ★ Ama/Kote Lolita
Powdery pastels, bouncing cupcake-shaped skirts and imaginative prints are the main trademarks of an Ama Lolita. Ama is derived from the Japanese wordamai, which translates into sweet. In most western Lolita communities, this style is referred to as Sweet Lolita. The most elaborate Ama Lolitas are usually referred to as Kotekote Lolitas, which translates to Over-the-Top Lolita (abbreviated OTT in the west). Kote Lolitas brings the sweet feeling into the style to the extreme. Beautiful wigs, accessorized from top-to-toe, Hime Gyaru-inspired makeup and perfect in every aspect, Kote Lolitas are the core of the cotton candy style that is Ama Lolita.
Wise color choices:
Pastel colors, such as pink, sax blue, lavender, or mint. But there is also red, white, black, yellow and dark blue.

    ★ Classic Lolita
Classic Lolita is a refined and elegant style influenced by various eras in history, such as Renaissance, Elizabethan, Baroque, Rococo, Victorian, and Edwardian. The prominent features of the style are neutral dusty colors, simplicity, high-neck collars, a-line skirts and soft floral patterns.
Wise color choices: Neutral. Brown, ivory, wine, dusty pink, dusty green, navy and black.

   ★ Ouji
Ouji/Oujisama (Prince), Ouji-loli (Prince Lolita), or Shounen-kei (boystyle) are all common terms that refer to the boyish cute, punky, gothic or piratey male style that is often featured along with Lolita fashion. Despite being a male style, the majority dressing in it are women. While Ouji may seemingly come in several separate styles, they are still referred to as one. ouji can be cute and childish, with a mini tophat, a vest worn over a ruffled shirt, knickerbockers, overknee socks and platform shoes with wooden soles, but it can also be more mature and gothic; tophat, a coat or swallowtail jacket worn over a ruffled blouse, long pants, gothic boots/shoes. It may also feature punk elements, such as ties, chains, studded belts, striped socks and a skort (skirt with pants). Alice & the Pirates often release pirate-influenced ouji clothing, where tall-collared long coats decorated with buttons, and mini pirate hats are frequent.
Wise color choices: Black, or black and white.

    ★ Guro Lolita
Guro is an abbrevation for grotesque, and includes lolitas splattered with blood, to lighter versions where they are covered in tattered bandages. The style simulates the look of an innocent broken doll, straight out of a horror movie. Arm slings, eyepatches, nurse hats, fake knives, broken dolls or bloody teddybears are common accessories.
Wise color choices: White, splattered with blood.

     ★ Shiro/Kuro/Aka/Sax/Pink/Mono Lolita
While there are multiple color themes in Lolita fashion, the two most well-known to the western Lolitas are Kuro and Shiro. Kuro, which is the Japanese term for black, refers to a fully black coordinate, while Shiro (meaning white) refers to a purely white coordinate. Kuro Lolita is sometimes mistaken for Gothic Lolita, but Kuro Lolita completely lacks gothic elements. Both Kuro and Shiro uses Classic and Ama/Kote Lolita as the base style. Lesser-known color themes are Aka Lolita (red), Pink Lolita, Sax Lolita (saxe blue) and Mono Lolita (monotone). Aka, Pink and Sax Lolita usually have a color scheme of the base color with white lace. Mono Lolita consists of a white-only blouse with i.e. a black JSK, matched with white socks and black shoes.
Wise color choices: As the name implies.

 Hime Lolita
Hime Lolita is a royal and elegant style that is usually incorporated into Ama and Classic Lolita. The word hime comes from the Japanese word for princess, which is clearly visible in the style. Crowns, pearl jewelery, lace gloves, high heels and Rococo-style dresses are worn to create an air of royality and elegance. Hime Lolita is also one of the few styles where good-quality satin is suitable. Satin was often used by royality in past times to express their wealth.
In recent years the style has gotten more influenced by newer trends, such as Hime Gyaru fashion and the more over the top side of Ama Lolita (also called Kote Lolita).
Wise color choices: Common colors are pink and white.

 ★ Sailor Lolita
The theme incorporates the style of a sailor suit, and can have a cute or elegant feel.
Wise color choices: Combinations of black, navy and white.

Punk Lolita
This style is often more casual-looking than other Lolita styles. A typical outfit will have a mini tophat, a simple cutsew with a deconstructed Lolitaesque print, a pleated tartan skirt and chunky platform boots. Sometimes Punk Lolitas will be seen with nekomimi (cat ears), although it's considered cosplay by the majority of Lolitas.
Wise color choices: Black x red. Black x white, pink, purple and yellow.

Deco Lolita
Deco Lolita (short for Decora) is a style based on Decora fashion, which gained the highest popularity among Lolitas around 2007. Decora is a boldly colored fashion that has been around since the late 90's. Its trademarks are its mixture of bright colors, and excessive usage of accessories.
Wise color choices:
Vivid red and pink, baby pink, orange, yellow, blue, and accents of white and black.
Example: hellolace.net/styles/style_dec…

Ero Lolita
Ero Lolita can be considered to be an often misunderstood, darker and more mature take on the fashion. It has a slightly more sexy approach, but is in no way overly revealing. Despite that Ero is derived from the word erotic, this style still has the modesty and silhouette of Lolita fashion. Somewhat unique traits of Ero, is the usage of fetish materials such as PVC or leather, cage skirts, and the often seen western approach; a lolita blouse with bloomers.
Wise color choices: Experiment.

Country, Classic, Alice, School, Cyber, Steampunk, Mori, Gyaru, Military, and Pirate are other misc styles to Lolita.
